The Dancer's Extension

Promoting healthy and balanced lifestyles through the art of dance.

The 2016-2017 Dance Season is underway!
Classes for Monday, January 23 are
on a regular schedule (Polk County Schools teacher work day).
Classes missed on January 9-10 due to winter weather
are rescheduled to Saturday, February 4.

We offer youth classes in introductory ballet/creative movement, ballet, pointe, jazz and contemporary.  New students and beginners of all ages are always welcome, as are our returning, talented students.

We are grateful to all those in the community who support The Dancer's Extension, including our students, parents, and friends.  Thank you.

Register early for classes as space is limited.  Contact the studio to register.
Find us on Facebook, too!

We are currently preparing for our seventh annual Spring Concert, scheduled for Saturday, May 20!

The Dancer's Extension would like to thank everyone who had a part in our Spring Concert, including the students, parents, backstage crew, Saluda Elementary staff, and the audience!  We had an exciting show and we appreciate the rave reviews!

Congratulations to our newest National Honor Society for Dance Arts inductees:  Amberly Arkell, Katie Mundy and Madison Sutton at the junior level, and Ashley Keener at the secondary level.  Please check out the NHSDA page for more information on this program, and the achievements of these students.

The Dancer's Extension focuses on an academic approach to dance education, where students of all ages have the opportunity to be creative while learning the technique of fine art of dance. We recognize the need for dance to be an exciting and creative art form, with a strong focus on health, exercise and positive self-esteem. The Dancer’s Extension is a bright, clean and professional dance space with up-to-date equipment. The studio space features a Marley sprung floor, safety mirrors, sturdy barres and a piano for live accompaniment. Our studio is an inviting place for all who enter and we welcome you to join us!
